ABOUT me, my family, and my mission...
Welcome and thank you for visiting Paws to Pray. I'm Peggianne Wright and I am honoured that you are taking a moment to stop by and check out my little bit of the virtual world. PtP has been a brainchild and project bubbling in my heart for a long time now and I am so thrilled to see it coming to fruition.
It is my wish to offer a warm and inviting space to share our love of fur-kids and our Lord, together. What I provide here within these pages is completely authentic, right down to my own photography and I hope that my passion for fur-kids and for the Lord shines through in everything I present here.
Beginnings...
In late 2019, as a "wannabe" writer, I began to develop the idea of collecting all of my ideas together and presenting them in book form but, alas, life got in the way and it fell to the bottom of my priority list. Further, with the loss since then of my beloved Dad and living life during the pandemic, I focused my time on healing through a Bible Study with a dear friend. Her constant support and understanding guided me through some of the darkest days and I am forever grateful to her. But, an abrupt change of direction pushed my life lense out of focus leaving me wondering what to do next. So, I turned to God in prayer and found my answer. His gentle nudge one Sunday afternoon "refocused my direction" as you can read in my blog post called Rejection: Can It Really Be Good For You?
I am profoundly thankful too, for my wonderful husband and best friend, Bill. He has been a rock, a sounding-board, a critic, and fan in all of my endeavours and I value his constant love and support.
My Mission...
The three tiny souls to whom I am hopelessly and deeply devoted are all rescued fur-kids and truly my inspiration to venture out into the world with this idea. But also, the profound and heartbreaking loss of 3 before them made me realize that pet parents also need support and recognition for their pain and grief during the illness and loss of a beloved fur-kid. My deepest desire is to provide a resting spot to those in need of comfort.
But, in addition to healing, I hope to share the joy of being a pet parent through stories, pass on useful information through relevant and thought-provoking articles, and bundle it all together in a loving, compassionate, and humble way.
For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Father God,
We praise You today for Your continued presence in our lives. We thank You for entrusting us with the earthly care of the perfect souls of those fur-kids we love and cherish. Help us to continue to provide every comfort and tend to every need to those precious hearts under our guardianship. Lord, we thank You too, for those beloved babies who have gone ahead to the Rainbow Bridge and into Your tender protection.

Besides being an passionate Bible study student, Peggianne is a devoted dog mom and wife of nearly 42 years, lover of music (especially the 70s and older), and aspiring writer. Peggianne and her husband Bill make their home in Ontario, Canada and spend their winters in Arizona.
